Juan Carlos concentrates his practice in matters related to the energy industry, both in its transactional and regulatory aspects. He has focused his career in advising generation projects in all stages of development, including obtaining permits and concessions, financing, acquisition transactions, and operation and maintenance issues. He also has experience in corporate and societary matters, advising both national and international companies.
He joined Morales & Besa in 2020. Previously, between the years 2017 to 2020, he worked as a lawyer of the generation company Prime Energía. He began his career as an associate at Arteaga Gorziglia law firm in Santiago (2011-2014 and 2016-2017) and as an international associate at Holland Knight LLP in Miami, FL (2015-2016).
He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association; and in the past he served as alternate director of the Chilean Generators Association and member of its Legal Committee.
