SUMMER PROGRAM 2007. April 2007

Our law firm, since 2003, organizes internships during the summer aimed at outstanding law students from the most prestigious universities with the objective of, for the students, providing them with an interesting and rewarding experience that shows them a possible future career; and, for us, discovering talented young men and women that may potentially join our law firm in the near future.

The Summer Program 2007 ended in February. This year the selection process included the best students from the Universities of Chile, Católica, Adolfo Ibáñez and De Los Andes, from which the following students were chosen:

• Ainhoa Pozzi: Fourth year student of U. Adolfo Ibáñez de Viña del Mar (top student in her class).

• José Tomás Correa: Fourth year student of Universidad de Chile.

• Josefina Campos: Fifth year student of Universidad Católica (top student in her class).

As with the previous years, this year's program allowed us to discover the abilities and personalities of the participants, who had the opportunity to work side-by-side with our lawyers for a month containing a wide variety of classes and lectures. This year's program included, besides work itself, a variety of other activities such as bowling and karting tournaments, talks on various legal topics of interest (medical responsibility, project finance, securitization, etc.), and social lunches and gatherings.

The Summer Program 2007 was a fantastic success and we look forward to repeating it next year.

Furthermore, we include some opinions of the program from those that participated in it this year: Ainhoa Pozzi said ".I never hoped for such a good atmosphere, treatment, patience and clarity in explaining everything that needed to be done. Although I worked more with some than with others (and unfortunately I could not with everyone), I believe that in this month I have obtained a clear idea of what it is to work at this law firm and of the people that work here, and I realize that my first impression, also my reason for originally accepting this placement, was correct.being that all the people are warm, honest and kind, the atmosphere of the office is fantastic and one feels part of a close-knit work team. And, apart from all the great people working there, this teamwork is the thing that I appreciated the most." José Tomás Correa commented : ". I leave with great memories of all in the office, and despite not having the opportunity to work with everyone, I am certain this excellent law firm recruits the most intelligent and most professional people (lawyers, secretaries and administrative staff) and, more importantly than this, the best people. Thank you very much for all the patience and the eagerness when explaining, for the great treatment and for our relationship in the office that you could call 'horizontal'. It was a fantastic experience (despite my dismal efforts in the karting), and an appealing preview of what the future holds in the legal profession." Josefina Campos said: ".the truth is that today is my last day in the office, because of this I want to thank everyone for your warmth, kindness and patience with me. This month has been a great experience for me, allowing me to see how a law firm works in reality, and I felt fully involved in the day-to-day work of the firm and because of this I want to thank everyone for having confidence in me and ensuring that I had things to do. It is incredible how fast this month flew by and it was a great time for me (although they won't believe it) mainly because the group of people they have here is excellent and I would like to congratulate everyone for this, since I know that they put a lot of effort into this aspect.".
