Morales & Besa has a large practice in the area of Intellectual Property Law. Our transactional intellectual property practice includes the preparation and negotiation of commercial documents that address intellectual property issues in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, financings, licensing and joint ventures. In an advisory role, we provide both strategic and general advice on the applicability of Chilean Intellectual Property Law with respect to a variety of matters such as Privacy Law and Protection of Individual Rights with respect to Personal Data, Electronic Documents and Electronic Signature Law issues, Patent Law, Trademarks, and Copyright Protection for a variety of assets.

Our lawyers that specialize in Intellectual Property have expertise in assisting clients in the process of obtaining trademarks, patents, copyrights and Internet domains. Together with our Litigation Practice Group, these lawyers have achieved a remarkable track record representing the clients of the firm in a variety of IP related litigation matters, infringement cases, and trademark and patent protection. The firm is an active member of the Interamerican Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI), the Chilean Association of Intellectual Property (ACHIPI) and the International Trademark Association (INTA).
