GOVERNMENTAL REGULATIONS & CONCESSIONS

Morales & Besa has advised important concessionaires, banks and financial institutions and the government of Chile in projects of public infrastructure, including matters related to the structuring and the managing of public work concession contracts. Some of our lawyers participated in the creation of the current Concession Statute and sewage water legislation. Some of our lawyers have been appointed as members of arbitral panels in connection with public works concession contracts. Morales & Besa gives legal advice to COPSA (Association of Concessionaires of Infrastructure Public Works), an institution formed by almost all Chilean concessionaires of public works.

Morales & Besa advises entities in several regulated sectors (energy, construction, public works, sewage water, etc.) in the process to obtain the necessary authorizations and permits to develop their projects. We have participated in numerous infrastructure-financing transactions, in all the regulatory aspects of the transactions.
